ATT Tournament Predictions by Lou Riccio

Without the excitement of having Tiger in the field, this event still has many great players to be interesting in. Not surprisingly the Model picks seven “stars.” Beyond that, the probabilities drop substantially but fills out its ten with three “long shots.”
Spieth is due. He’s played well with not enough to show for it and with the US Open just around the corner he wants to fine tune his game. But just on the statistical history, he’s the Model’s top pick.
After him, it picks three top players who haven’t played all that well recently. This might be the course that allows Matsuyama, Scott, or Garcia to show their stuff.
Snedeker, Na, and Kuchar are playing well if not spectacularly this year and are as likely as any good players to shine. Lastly, the Model likes the fit of Martin, Thompson and Baddeley. I’d say they are reasonable long shots to win but have are better bets as a top ten.
